The aim of this course is to give a basic understanding of general first aid practices. First aid has the potential to save a person’s life. 

This course will not provide all of the training needed to qualify as a first aider. It is meant to be used in combination with face-to-face training to give a full, more thorough experience.

    All staff who are required to have a basic understanding of First Aid and who may need to administer First Aid.

    By the end of this course, you will be able to:

    • Describe general first aid practices
    • Explain how to deal with a range of injuries that require first aid
    • Explain how to respond to an emergency
    • Explain how to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
